How to measure your ring size
I want to buy a ring from an online shop, but I don't know my ring size...
To find out your exact ring size, you'll need to measure it with a ring gauge, but here we'll show you how to easily measure your ring size using items you have at home.
Your ring size is determined by the inner diameter (circumference) of the ring.
In other words, you can find your ring size by measuring the circumference of your finger and comparing it with a ring size chart.
*The wearing comfort varies from person to person and also depends on the thickness of the ring.
The measurement method below is for reference only.
If you would like to confirm your size more accurately, please have it measured at a store.
What you need
A thin strip of paper (or a thick, non-stretchy string)
, a ruler
, a pen
, and cellophane tape
1. Wrap the paper tape around the thickest part of the finger you want to measure, making sure there are no gaps.
It will be easier to measure if you secure it with cellophane tape.
*The thickest part of the finger may be the joint, below the joint, or the base of the finger, depending on the shape of the finger.
② Use a pen to mark the area where the edge of the paper tape overlaps with the edge of the cellophane tape.
*A thinner pen will give you more accurate measurements.
③ Measure the length between the marks and compare it with the "finger circumference (= ring inner circumference)" on the ring size chart.
Things to note when measuring size with paper tape or string
If the paper tape is wrapped too tightly, the size will be too small, and if it is wrapped too loosely, the size will be too large. Also, please note that if the paper tape is twisted or at an angle, the size will not be measured accurately.
Although it varies from person to person, swelling of the fingers may occur depending on the time of day you measure and your physical condition.
We recommend taking measurements several times at different times, taking into consideration the condition of your finger.
